Sham Kaushal experienced a close brush with death

Sham Kaushal well known as a stunt director, has no choice but to live on the edge. Recently, while rehearsing for Himesh Reshammiya-starrer Karzzzz in Baramati, Sham had a close brush with death when the chopper he was in, came crashing down soon after it took off. This happened when the actors were not on the sets and the unit was rehearsing.
Still shaken from the experience, Sham Kaushal said that while rehearsing he was in a chopper along with a pilot and attendant. However, as soon as the chopper took off, it had some technical snag and came crashing down. Thankfully, the chopper was not at a great height and so when they jumped from the chopper, they were all saved. The rehearsal was at the flying club in Baramati, where there were many small planes around them.
If the chopper had gone up any further, they would have definitely crashed into the parked planes, and then they would have been dead. They were just a few seconds away from death. Recalling another near-fatal accident, four years ago, in which he had injured his intestines, Sham said that this was his second brush with death. He thanks God that he was saved. The entire unit was shaken and is relieved at the miraculous escape.

Neil jumps off the ninth floor for his film Freeze

Neil Nitin Mukesh has turned Provoked devil for his latest film, Freeze. Recently, Neil jumped from the ninth floor, while shooting in Bangkok.
Neil said that Freeze is an action film, so there are many action sequences. For this particular shot, he is pushed off the ninth floor of a building. This was the first time that he has done such a thing. In Johnny Gaddaar, he climbed down a pipe from the fourth floor, with a harness for protection. Here, he only had an airbag and he had to jump backwards!
When asked if he was scared, he said that it surely was a scary experience. He did a lot of preparations, as it was a backward leap. There was an air bag down and he had to land on it but Sham Kaushal, the action director made everything seem safe. It was a fantastic take, well executed by Jehangir Surti, the director and no one was hurt and everyone on the sets was very happy with the shot.

Chenab Gandhi of Sanjay Leela Bhansali

There are many guesses regarding whom Sanjay Leela Bhansali will cast in his next upcoming film, Chenab Gandhi. Latest we heard that Bhansali had asked his Saawariya boy, Ranbir Kapoor for the leading role in this movie, but disappointed. It seems Ranbir is already having a handful of movies and so rejected this offer. So it is being talked that Amitabh Bachchan is featuring in the lead role. Ranbir turned down the role in Chenab Gandhi because it’s a serious film without any romance in it.

But Bhansali laughed off the rumour saying that Ranbir is his bachcha and he will never refuse Bhansali. He also added that first of he will never offer any actor a role that does not suits him. He said that his assistant Vibhu Puri would be directing this movie. Vibhu Puri worked with him in Saawariya too.

At the moment Sanjay Leela Bhansali is busy with the Spoleto Festival in Italy where three of his films Saawariya, Black and Devdas will be showcased in a special retrospective. It’s an honour for any filmmaker to get a retrospective

Sameera Reddy linked with Yuvraj Singh

Audience adoration is not the only common factor that binds celluloid with cricket. After Kim Sharma and Deepika Padukone being linked with cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Sameera Reddy is the latest actress to be obsessed by a young cricketing impression. It seems that, she is dating right arm fast bowler Ishant Sharma from Shahrukh Khan's IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders. It is said that Sameera and Ishant happened to meet during some of the lately held IPL matches. They have hit off very well. Sameera and Ishant are more than just good friends. They are slowly getting serious about each other.
It was during the IPL matches, where Sameera was always seen cheering the Kolkata Knight Riders, when relationship between them blossomed. She has even attended the last two matches played by the Kolkata Knight Riders. And not just that, Sameera will be performing at the IPL grand finale. The two have been constantly exchanging messages and are always in touch over the phone.
Sameera Reddy has of late split with her earlier boyfriend, Shamshul Lalani, a Mumbai-based builder. Sameera and Lalani have gone their separate ways, as things didn't work out between the two. Sameera was very hopeful of her relation with Lalani and had even revealed in her friends, that for the first time, she was finally happy in a relationship. She was eager to take the relationship forward. But the split, though good-natured, hasn't gone down well with Sameera. She's been a recluse and had been depressed for the past few weeks. Her figure just did not suit her character in Main Aur Mrs Khanna so she is quite okay with the weight that she has recently put on.

Govinda doing an English film

It seems Govinda is doing an English-language film. The film is Jag Mohan Mundhra’s remake of the 2005 Hollywood comedy, The 40-Year-old Virgin. It’s his first international project and hence very special to him. What makes it doubly special is the fact that Govinda will have to speak the Queen’s English in the film.
Not just the Queen’s English, Govinda is also required to sport a British accent in the film, Mundhra has apparently decided to hire an in-house language instructor, on the sets, to make sure that Govinda’s diction doesn’t dither.
However, the actor is least worried about the linguistic crossover. He said that British NRIs don’t always speak perfect angrezi. A lot of them retain their desi accent and speak a mix of English and Hindi. The key is to be true to the character to be essayed. Speaking English is no great shakes. He can manage it.
Besides speaking English, Govinda is now on a weight-loss spree too. And the results are already showing. Ask him whether he is trying to equal his pal Salman Khan’s physique, and he replies, “That’s not possible. He is one among the 10 most handsome men in the world. I am losing weight only because I want to start looking like my Raja Babu and Hero No 1 days.” Talking about his weight loss routine, he says that it all began when he was shooting in Bangkok. What also supported his weight loss apart from his workouts is that he was down with viral fever. “In spite of all this, I’ve been working round-the-clock to complete all my assignments before I leave for London,” he says.

Dutt's marriage to Maanyata is now legal

In another of Sanjay Dutt's assignation with complicated legalities, the session’s court on Wednesday send away a lower court's order seeking his appearance along with wife Maanyata in a case of alleged bigamy against her. Dutt's marriage to Maanyata is now legal.
Earlier, in February the Bandra metropolitan court had admitted an appeal filed by Maanyata's ex-husband Mairaj-ur-Rehman that the couple had committed bigamy as Maanyata was still married to Mairaj. However, sessions court Judge S N Sardesai on Wednesday ruled that Maanyata was legally divorced from Mairaj and hence her marriage with Dutt is free of any complications regarding the issue. Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata had a court marriage in Goa on February 7 and a marriage again in Mumbai on February 11, according to Hindu rites.
Dutt's lawyer Rizwan Merchant said that the court has accepted the dissolution of the Maanyata-Mairaj marriage, on the basis of 'Khulla' (a form of dissolution of a marriage, known as the woman's right to divorce, as per the Muslim Personal Law). "All the baseless media reports of Dutt not having married Maanyata have been put to rest. They are happily married," Merchant added. The couple's marriage had faced legal issues as it was said to be in violation of Muslim Personal Law. Their Goa marriage courted trouble when the Goa registrar objected to Maanyata's claim that she was a resident of Goa. The controversy over the marriage certificate had put a question mark on the couple's legal union, and that's when Mairaj appeared, levelling bigamy allegations against his ex-wife. Mairaj was earlier in the news for several of his dubious accomplishments, from sending vulgar text messages to Bollywood actresses to threatening them.

Saif all set to produce a film for Soha Ali Khan

Far from being annoyed with his small sister, Saif Ali Khan is all set to produce a film for Soha Ali Khan. Saif, in his own honest way doesn't refuse the stories suggesting he was distress with Soha about her somewhat strangely bold photo session.
Saif said that he was a bit worried about a certain shot that Soha did. He felt that it wasn’t right for her image. He wondered if she actually wanted to do that. She told him that she didn’t want to do that and he felt relieved. Saif trusts her judgment and stands by her.
It all started with Soha doing a photo shoot that presented a bolder more energetic Soha. Soha, with her mother’s support, readily agreed to the makeover. However Saif being the protective elder brother, felt the shoot was too bold. The situation was slightly tensed in the family. But now that Saif has seen Soha’s line of reasoning, he respects it. Also, Saif, being a producer now, would certainly like to produce a film for Soha. She has a very different personality and he would like to tap that in a film.

Ayesha Takia doing catapult scene in De Taali

It seems that if there is any thing, which Ayesha Takia would want to forget, it's the catapult scene she shot for De Taali in Auckland. The actress had to shoot for a scene, which required her to be in a three-seater catapult at a great height, along with co-actors Ritesh Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani.
But as Ayesha fears heights, she kept refusing to do the scene. Eventually, Ritesh and Aftab managed to persuade her into doing it, but Ayesha soon realised that she was in for more than what she had bargained for. In fact, according to Aftab, Ayesha was fooled into it. Ayesha simply wouldn't do it. So they told her that they are not taking the shot. They convinced her that let's just strap us and sit. When the catapult began, she started screaming uncontrollably. Their eardrums almost went bust! The shot, which is retained in this film, is the real moment.

Ayesha found it difficult to turn down the crowd that was cheering and egging her on, along with her co-stars who were urging her too. Ayesha said that it became a matter of pride for her, so she gave in. She thought that she was going to die; she’ll regret that for the rest for of her life.
As if that was not all, they were later required to bungee jump from a height of 300 meters. Wiser from her earlier experience, Ayesha firmly put her foot down and declined to jump. She told the director that she will surely die if she does that and his film will be trapped. He changed his mind and she was saved.

Saif and Rani can’t stand each other off screen

It seems Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee makes fairly a pair in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. As we all also know that it is believed that as co-stars they are very close to each other. The truth, like they say, is far ‘bitter’ than fiction. Saif and Rani can’t get along at all. They never have. In fact Rani has told some of her closest friends that Saif and she couldn’t see eye to eye during the making of Hum Tum.
What she doesn’t say aloud is that they couldn’t see eye to eye all through their second and third films Tara Rum Pum and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, too. Though they did try to iron out their differences and though they did get along better during their second and third films, there was still a lot of friction between the two, both on personal and professional levels. They aren’t just very different as individuals but they are very different in their approach to a scene. These differences came to the surface in all their dramatic scenes together.
So why did they decide to come together in spite of their terrible differences during Hum Tum? Yashraj convinced them for doing so.
They have a limited number of A-listers on their roster. And in how many permutations can they put Abhishek, Rani, Preity and Shah Rukh? Saif and Rani provide an interesting study in contrast. During Tara Rum Pum in the US, the two argued heatedly in full view of the unit. The stress level during their third film together was greatly reduced. But there was still enough friction between the two.
During the long outdoor schedule of the film in Bangkok, Rani would try very hard to be part of Saif and Kareena’s inner circle. But Rani was the odd one out because Kareena never liked her in the first place. In fact Rani is now in a serious co-star crisis. She has outgrown Govinda. Things are just not the same between her and Abhishek after the wedding snub. Shah Rukh has moved on to fresher pairings. As for Saif, it’s unlikely to come together again even if their new film creates thoda magic at the box office.

Some days ago there were some rumours saying Amrita Rao is dating a Pakistani singer, Gohar. These gossip mills went into an overdrive with such rumours of actress Amrita Rao dating Gohar, the lead singer of Pakistani band Jal.
But, sources close to the two resolute that there’s no love brewing between the two. A close friend of Amrita revealed that Gohar does like Amrita and had admitted that he’s a huge fan, but Amrita was not even aware of his feelings for her. Somebody also insisted that it was a one-sided crush and added that Amrita has always considered him only as a co-actor, after working on a music video with him. Well, after seeing Amrita in her latest sizzling avatar, it’s hardly surprising that Gohar’s lost his heart to this Indian beauty.

Ranbir Kapoor refuses to host TV shows

It is not that only senior actors are approached to host TV shows. It is heard that a leading TV channel had approached Ranbir Kapoor to host a chat show and also offered him big bucks for the assignment. However, Rishi and Neetu's son chose to concentrate on films only.
The concept of the show was a very perky one and hence a young host was essential. Moreover, the producers were keen that they needed a big star and Ranbir fitted the bill. Rishi did give the idea for a few days before his son Ranbir declined the offer. The money was really tempting. But they say, it's too early for Ranbir to jump into television. It is heard that Ranbir is holding many assignments in his hands right now and so he has also refused Sanjay Leela Bhansali who wanted to star cast Ranbir in Chenab Gandhi as a patriotic leader.

New red-haired look of Priyanka Chopra in Love Story 2050

The much-talked advanced red-haired look of Priyanka Chopra in Love Story 2050 hasn't been an easy victory for the actress. Not only did she have to go into hiding for over 20 days so that her look in the film is not exposed but also had to chop off her long curls as the harsh dye chemicals completely ruined her hair.
Although Priyanka was always nervous about her new look in Love Story 2050 she was enthusiastic that her look suits her character in the film. She plays a pop star named Zayesha in Love Story 2050. Although she did thought about using a red wig she was not sure it would look natural. The challenge was that when you think of someone with red hair you think of a punk rocker and Priyanka's character Zayesha had to look soft at the same time. So finally director Harry Baweja and make-up artiste Mickey Contractor came up with the idea of coloring her hair red and giving her an edging. Everyone was taken aback when they first saw Priyanka's new look. But Priyanka faced a barrier. She was supposed to shoot her scenes in two schedules over a span of 25 days. As a result, she ended up coloring her hair twice-once each for both the schedules. When asked if it was a tough look to maintain, Priyanka said that her hair was ruined, as she had to colour it twice within a few days. She had to completely bleach her black hair for the colour to set in and that took a toll on her hair. Later, she had no option but to cut the damaged ends.
Priyanka had to even let go of signing some films, as she could not take up any other role with her red hair. After putting in so much effort, Priyanka was very nervous about how people would react to her unconventional look. But she's now relieved after receiving positive feedback ever since the promos were released.

Kareena Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s next upcoming

It is heard that R K Films wants Imtiaz Ali to direct their reappear vehicle with Kareena Kapoor in the lead role. Tremendously overwhelmed with Imtiaz's work in Jab We Met, Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor approached the young director for their next film.
Jab We Met has been a high point in Kareena's career. Kareena's concert in the film has been highly commended and she also won several best actress awards for the same film. Our well-placed source in the industry said that Imtiaz extracted one of the finest performances from Kareena in Jab We Met. In fact, soon after Jab We Met, the Kapoors started toying with the idea of having Imtiaz on board. For long, the Kapoors have wanted to revitalize the R K banner. They thought of Imtiaz, who had earlier directed Socha Na Tha and who is an original and fine filmmaker.
Kareena also wanted to work with Imtiaz again. Currently, Imtiaz is busy with pre-production work for Saif Ali Khan's home production starring Saif and Deepika Padukone. Rishi Kapoor is also a part of Saif Ali Khan's home production. So obviously, he too will be talking with Imtiaz about directing a film for R K Films. But given Imtiaz's busy schedule for Saif’s film, R K Banner will have to wait for some time if they want him to direct their next. It seems that this will also put to rest all the rumours that all is not well between Kareena and Imtiaz. When Imtiaz insisted that he wanted Deepika for Saif's film, there were stories floating that Kareena was miffed over Imtiaz's insistence because she wanted to star opposite Saif in the film.

It seems that generosity runs in the Devgan family. Last week, Ajay Devgan was in news for his generous gesture towards Kumar Mangat, who has been his business manger for over 20 years. Now, it is wife who has agreed to play a short role in Haal-e-Dil, which will be produced by Kumar Mangat .
Ajay and Kajol are extremely close to Kumar Mangat and the film Haal-e-Dil is Mangat’s daughter Amita’s debut film. So, when he requested Kajol to play a cameo in the film, she immediately agreed. It’s a known fact that Kajol only works with established banners like Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions, and is usually extremely selective about her roles. In Haal-e-Dil, she will play a small but vital role. Kajol’s role in the film will give it the surprise twist that Mangat wants. No wonder Mangat refused to give out details about Kajol’s character when we asked him.

Manyata and Sanjay Dutt soon meeting Trishala

It was known that Sanjay Dutt wanted his wife Manyata to take care of his daughter Trishala and the two were soon going to meet Trishala in the US.

Lately, Sanjay Dutt was seen in Eklavya - The Royal Guard and Dus Kahaniyaan.
Manyata has decided to stay with Sanju in the Bahamas till he completes the shoot. Earlier, reportedly Trishala was unhappy over Sanjay's marriage with Manyata, and was consciously avoiding her father's calls and SMSes ever since he broke the news of his wedding.
But soon, that is likely to become a thing of the past.

Rahman took Aamir Khan to Amin Peer Dargah

Lately, A R Rahman took Aamir Khan for a surprise visit to the Amin Peer Dargah in Andhra Pradesh. It is heard that Aamir and Rahman contribute to a lot in general. Ever since they worked together on Rangeela a decade ago, the two have become great friends. They share a great relationship professionally as well as personally. Aamir had also invited Rahman to Mumbai for the music launch of his nephew's debut film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
After the music release, Rahman told Aamir that he had to leave with him for Chennai the very next day. Aamir, who was a bit surprised, asked the music director why he was asking the actor to accompany him to Chennai. However, Rahman refused to give any explanation to Aamir and only insisted that they must go to Chennai together.
Aamir left with Rahman for Chennai on Wednesday but the journey didn't end there. On reaching Chennai, Rahman drove Aamir to the Amin Peer Dargah in Andhra Pradesh's Cuddapah district. They reached the dargah in the evening after a five-hour-long drive. The dargah is very close to Rahman's heart and he completely believes in the power that it gives him. Commenting on Aamir and Rahman's visit to the dargah, it is heard that the two had dinner at the dargah and the mushaira, which started at on Thursday at 1 am went on till 5 am. Aamir really enjoyed the performance, as he himself is a great lover of these things. The two spent some quality time there and Aamir loved the experience. Rahman had always wanted to go to the dargah with Aamir. He particularly wanted the actor to seek blessings and be present for the Urs. Rahman was also keen that Aamir attended a mushaira when qawwals especially perform in the dargah. Rahman attends this Urs every year. Last year he had taken Prasoon Joshi with him

Shahrukh Khan really a true sportsman

The fresh cricket season has proved that Shahrukh Khan is really a true sportsman. His team may have let him down but there was never a frown visible on his forehead. The actor was always there for cheering his team all the way from beginning to end, like a true sportsman. Money Hai Toh Honey Hai stars Upen Patel with Govinda. If we remember Upen Patel was very much upset by Ashwini Dheer’s attitude. It seems that while shooting for One Two Three movie Upen Patel and Ashwini Dheer used to have many arguments. Finally Ashwini Dheer was so frustrated that at the editor’s table he just chopped off Upen Patel’s Item number from the movie. Upen Patel had completely shot for the movie. But still Ashwini managed to keep him out.

Not only this but during the Music launch of One Two Three Upen Patel was actually sidelined. Director Ashwini Dheer called up all the stars from One Two Three on the stage to appreciate them but he managed to avoid Upen Patel. Upen Patel feels that since he is not from a strong family background like others Ashwini did this to him.

Upen Patel is next featuring in Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, which is a comedy flick.

Hiten Patel and Kishwar Merchant no more a couple

Hiten Paintal and Kishwar Merchant are not a couple anymore. They never seemed to be 'just good friends' but a lot more than that. They were always seen hand in hand at parties, matching moves on the dance floor, and didn't leave each other's side at social dos.
But it's all over now. Kishwar Merchant and Hiten Paintal (comedian Paintal's son) are not together now.
Like they were frank while dating, Kishwar and Hiten are being open about their break-up also. Kishwar confirmed that she and Hiten had a split. They have parted their ways.
According to Kishwar, she and Hiten started having difference of opinion over many things. They realised that the relationship was not going any further. So, they decided to call it off.
Hiten too did not evade the issue and said that they had a few misunderstandings. Their relationship is over. Such things happen in life.
Kishwar and Hiten had first met during Aliraza Namdar's comedy play Meri Life Mein Uski Wife. They spent a lot of time during the rehearsals. By the time the play was ready to be staged, the two had fallen for each other. "We were together for three-and-half years. But we are not in touch anymore," Kishwar adds.
On the work front however, both Hiten and Kishwar are smiling. Kishwar is doing a play Daddy Kool and will soon be seen in Sagar’s upcoming show Arsalaan.
Hiten on the other hand has bagged a meaty role in Yash Raj Films’ Bachna Ae Haseenon.

SRK with kids suffering from Thalassemia

A few days ago, when National Award winning actress Rituparna Sengupta starring in Anuranan approached Shah Rukh Khan to spend sometime with children suffering from thalassemia, he readily agreed and met the children in Kolkata.
Rituparna says, “He is extremely down to earth and in spite of having so many prior commitments for the Indian Premier League and his new TV game show, he came right on time and made every child feel special. He sang songs with them, spoke to them in broken Bengali and asked them to pray for his show and his team, Kolkata Knight Riders.”
A Kolkata Knight Riders banner that was made by the children especially touched SRK. “SRK was touched that the children knew a lot about him. He loves children and behaved like a child when he was with them,” adds Rituparna Senguptua of U Me Aur Hum.
An onlooker present at the venue informs that when Rituparna expressed her desire to work with SRK, he immediately said, “If I work with you then Rani Mukerjee will be upset… she is also a Bong!’

It is heard that the movie, Mehbooba that was all set to release earlier was delayed for some reason. I guess after around 2 years this movie is releasing now. I got to know something about this movie. As we all know that Mehbooba movie stars Manisha Koirala, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan in its leading roles.
Story line of this movie is quite 'ghisipiti' kind of. Same old story, u know!!! It’s all about a successful and very rich business tycoon whose role is done by Sanjay Dutt. He's the one who is so rich that he has everything one can dream of and whatever he doesn't has he can buy it. He loves to be in the company of gorgeous and attractive women. His power and money gets him any beauty he wishes to have.
Some days later he meets Varsha i.e. Manisha Koirala. But she is an Indian girl who values her self respect and moral rights. She is the first girl who says no to Shravan, which makes him feel insulted. He starts showering precious gifts on her, but she refuses to take any. She makes him realize that girls are not purchasable commodities. Shravan feels guilty for what he has done and so he apologizes for that. He even goes to her father and accepts all his mistakes and asks for Varsha's hand to marry her. Varsha refuses first, but then her father explains her that he has changed and so she accepts his proposal. Both of them get engaged and then go for holidays. There, Shravan tells Varsha that he is not going to marry her. Whatever he did was just to sleep with her by giving her false assurance that he was going to marry her. Varsha gets very much depressed by this and decides to go far away from Shravan, where he will not be able to fined her. What happens after that???

It seems that for some time Aishwarya Rai has stepped out of her reserved avatar, which she had been sporting for the last one-year, and more, at last.
Back home in Mumbai, everyone was wondering why she kept herself all wrapped up Saree, and even stopped wearing her trademark blue jeans and white shirt ever since she sported the bridal sari.
As we all know Ash has gone all out in Cannes with her husband, father in law and mother in law. She arrived with husband Abhishek Bachchan, pa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and ma-in-law Jaya Bachchan at the screening of director Woody Allen's film Vicky Cristina Barcelona wearing a blushing pink gown with a cleavage show that was amazing!!!

Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor Kismat Konnection

It is heard that Vidya Balan is no more single!!! Guess who is that Lucky guy!!! I know there is only one name that can come in our minds and that is Shahid Kapoor!!! In mere happiness she said that she is very content in the space She is occupying right this time. With a mystifying smile, Vidya suggested that she is no longer ecstatically single and is enjoying it. Last evening she went to watch Dus Kahaniyaan starrer Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak’s Dear Liar at Prithvi theatre. Somebody questioned her that who accompanied her, she laughed quietly and said that it was friend whose name begins with ‘S’. She was not saying any more than that!
She also continued saying that she doesn’t deny that Shahid was a very close friend of hers. For the first time, she has worked with a co-star who was actually closer to her by way of age, experience and temperament. They were together for around two months in Toronto shooting for Aziz Mirza’s Kismat Konnection and they really got along well. She found him very calm and intelligent. She thinks that both of them are alike in many ways. She really enjoyed working with him. And she would love to do more films with him in future also.
She also added that the range of men she was linked with amazes her. From Pradeep Sarkar to Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and now its Shahid. She seems to have been going down the generations until she has finally come to a guy who’s of her age. She says Kismat Konnection has turned out really special. She watched Aziz Mirza’s films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Yes Boss and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani starring Shah Rukh and Juhi Chawla. The articulacy of their romance has been captured in Kismat Konnection. A moment of great pride for me was when Aziz called up to say that tumne achha kaam kiya hai
The other evening she went to watch Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak’s Dear Liar at Prithvi theatre.

A New Love Ishtory of Himesh Reshammiya

It is heard that Himesh Reshammiya is playing a fan of Aamir Khan in John Matthew Matthan's upcoming A New Love Ishtory. In this film, Himesh is so busy worshipping Aamir that he imitates Aamir's character Munna of movie Rangeela.
Himesh's character is a stuntman called Sikander also known as Sukku bhai in A New Love Ishtory and is shown using conversational Mumbai speech just like Aamir has done in Rangeela. Himesh seems to wear Munna's colourful clothes including the well-known yellow shirt. In fact, the locals from Amboli village where Himesh just completed a 15-day schedule are also helping Himesh speak in true tapori syle.
He has discovered that he has a flair for comedy and although he plays rather intense characters in his other films like Karzzzz and Kajraa Re, comedy is definitely his strong point.
In A New Love Ishtory, Himesh pursues a rich businesswoman played by Niharika Singh. Bhushan Kumar produces the film.

Ajay Devgan has a new hobby nowadays

It is heard that Ajay Devgan has a new hobby these days. Known to be as on time as his wife Kajol, Ajay and Kajol frequently arrive on the sets of the show Rock N Roll Family before the production team is ready to start shooting. To kill time on the sets, Ajay has started sketching. So, while the production team takes its own time to set up the lights and also take long breaks in between, Ajay instead of waiting in his vanity van, keeps himself busy with sketching. Though only a proletarian, Ajay is very excited about his new hobby.
It is also heard that the production team is finding it hard to manage with the punctuality of its star judges, Ajay, Kajol and even Tanuja. The family always arrives right on time on the sets while the crew is not even ready to start shooting. Obviously, everybody has to rush and speed up the arrangements for the shoot the moment they arrive. So, while they are setting the cameras and lights, Ajay makes a few interesting sketches.
Somebody who is close to Ajay said that sketching is nothing more than a means to pass his time on the sets. Ajay also sketches on the diary that he uses to write down the points given to the contestants.

A song inspired by Salman Khan…

After making digs at Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan via his blogs, now its Salman Khan’s turn. We remember that in his blog he has insulted SRK by calling him a dog. Not only this but he also said that Shahrukh is licking his shoes!!! That was not enough for him. It is heard that in Aamir’s next upcoming film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Aamir and director Abbas Tyrewalla put together a hilarious song, which is inspired by Salman Khan.

Aamir is not only taking care of discussing even a minute detail of his nephew’s film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Not only this but he also played an important role in composing and writing the songs of the film.

Recently, Aamir had a music sitting with Abbas Tyrewalla to discuss the concept of a particular song. Abbas had to come up with the lyrics as per Aamir's expectations. The song has a lot of attitude and spunk and is filmed on Imran and his gang of friends where they are addressing the song to Pappu (Aur Pappu Pass Ho Gaya), a broad-shouldered rich guy in their college. It was amusing to watch Aamir discussing the concept keeping Salman in mind and he also ended up saying at the music sitting that he hopes Salman doesn't mind this song.

Koena Mitra dissatisfied by Bhanwar Lal Sharma

Koena Mitra is very angry because Bhanwar Lal Sharma, the producer of her latest film, Anamika, dubbed her voice without her knowledge. She said furiously that why should her voice be dubbed when other actresses who can’t even speak Hindi have their own voices in their films?
They dubbed her voice without even asking her. Besides that, bulk dates were taken from her, but scenes haven’t been shot to justify and complete her character.
Koena continued that suddenly one day someone from the production called to say that they have dubbed her voice. Without her consent! She was shocked. Normally, a letter of consent has to be sought before doing something like this. This is totally uncalled for and sad because the director, Anant Mahadevan worked very hard on the role.

Ritesh Deshmukh excited to work with Govinda

Somebody is thrilled about working with Govinda these days!!! Guess who??? It's none other than Ritesh Deshmukh who is all set to shoot with his favourite actor Govinda for the first time in his career. It is a film, which is tentatively titled Do Not Disturb. Co-stars Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta are also there in this movie. It will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by David Dhawan.

Ritesh Deshmukh who is too much excited to work with Govinda said that he is really excited about working with Govinda for the first time. It can't get bigger than this - Vashu Bhagnani, David Dhawan and Govinda all rolled into one is the best combination for a comedy. He also added that Govinda is the undisputed king of comedy. He is glad that he will be working with him. It's a treat to watch what he makes out of an ordinary scene.
Finally, Ritesh touches on another common point - politics. He even said that Govinda and Ritesh both have a political connection. Ritesh comes from a political family and he is a MP. Also, they both belong to the same political party. It will be interesting to have discussions with him on the sets.

Amisha Patel and Kanav Puri seen together

Earlier there were some rumors that Amisha Patel and Vikram Bhatt broke off their relationship. This incident happened in January 2008. Even though nothing is official yet, it seems that Amisha Patel and her new Delhi-based-businessman boyfriend Kanav Puri are going places, literally. They were seen firstly in public during the Fashion Week in Delhi and were later seen together on many junctures. It is also heard that Amisha and Kanav went on a foreign break. They were enjoying their holidays together in London a couple of weeks ago.
Amisha and Kanav are very close to each other and it is said that they both are pretty serious about their relationship. Amisha and Vikram after their break off in January have maintained a venerable silence about why the relationship went wrecked. Amisha met Kanav at a function in the capital and their friendship has been burgeoning ever since. Now that Amisha has moved out of Shahrukh Khan-produced Billoo Barber, she had plenty of time on hand, so she took off to London to spend some time with Kanav. Kanav has business interests in London, that's why the couple chose London as the venue for their vacation.
It may be recalled that Amisha broke off her four-year relationship with director boyfriend Vikram Bhatt in January this year. Hopefully she will find happiness and stability in this relationship.

Shiney Ahuja’s Birthday Bash

Anu Ahuja, Shiney Ahuja's wife came outside for the first time. Anu, who was very much busy I her high profile corporate job in US, has accompanied Shiney in Mumbai. It is known that she is ready to meet people now. In fact she has personally invited Shiney’s friends from the industry rather people he has worked with and his close friends, for a party bash thrown on his birthday.
Anu Ahuja made all the arrangements for the party and she even selected the venue, a special menu and of course the guest list. The venue of the bash is a plush suburban five star hotel.
Shiney was taken aback when he was asked about the plans for the evening. He said that they were having a small get-together to celebrate his birthday. Anu was looking after the arrangements. They had a lot to celebrate this year - Arshiya's (his daughter) birth, his two releases back to back. Also he is looking forward to Hijack and Har Pall.
Anu Ahuja was more of a anonymous woman. There was a lot of assumption about their marriage and the media had even written it off saying that it was, at best, a long-distance relationship. But, putting an end to all the rumours, Anu returned to India, keeping her career on hold. However, she still remained elusive.
Anu was busy with her corporate career in a financial firm and was based in New York for long, while Shiney was busy with his career in Mumbai. But last year she left her job and joined the actor here. To underline the fact Shiney refurbished the house and made all the arrangements to welcome his partner. The couple had a baby recently. They are a happy couple, and Anu was always the driving force even while she was in the US.

Dhoom Dadakka movie adapts Rakhi Sawant’s character

It seems that Rakhi Sawant’s real life character has stimulated filmmaker Shashi Ranjan. It is heard that he has adapted her character in his upcoming movie Dhoom Dadakka.
It is also heard that Dhoom Dadakka is a humorous movie and supposedly it is a story of six mad characters. One of the characters is called Shivani Sawant, which is very much similar to that of item girl Rakhi Sawant. Aarti plays that role and is an item girl in the film.
Speaking about her character Aarti said that she is playing an item girl. She is mad and quite a loud character. She is agitated and weird. She personally has observed some item girls to prepare herself for the role.
Apart from her name her look, body language and speaking style is very much derived from Rakhi. Not just that Rakhi Sawant’s kissing controversy episode with singer Mika has also been included in the film.
When asked if her character is inspired by item Rakhi Sawant Aarti said that it is about an item girl and she won’t be able to comment on that. Director Shahi Ranjan would be able to answer that.

Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan Kismet Konnection

It is heard that Shahid Kapoor and Heyy Babyy starrer Vidya Balan are taking their relations ahead of the sets of Kismet Konnection. On Sunday afternoon, Vidya drove all the way to the sets in Ballard Pier, South Bombay where Shahid was shooting for the film. The duo went out for a lunch date. During lunch break, Shahid escaped with Vidya. Vidya had come to pick him up from the sets of Ken Ghosh's film. The two drove away and did not report back for almost three hours, leaving the crew in a sway.
Much had been written about Shahid-Vidya chemistry during the shooting of Aziz Mirza's Kismet Konnection in Canada. The location for Ken's film that day was to be at Bombay Central, but Shahid insisted on shifting it to Ballard Pier as Vidya was shooting close by. Ken was seemingly upset about Shahid's disappearance as he waited endlessly for him to return.

Bipasha Basu devastated the rose-tinted glasses through which some upcoming young models had viewed her, by being pretty bad mannered with them, at the launch of a top-end perfume brand on Wednesday. The event was held at a five-star hotel in Delhi. It is heard that it all started with Bipasha swaying in late for the event, without the slightest hint of apology. She seemed to be in a bad mood in general and pretty irritated with everything about the event, in particular. She refused to talk to anyone or even hold the bottle of perfume - of which, paradoxically, she is the brand ambassador and is being paid a huge amount. Only after the MD of the company himself requested her, did she grumpily oblige. Her behaviour surprised everyone around because normally she is quite pleasant.
Backstage too, Bips let her temper run away with her. She yelled at her bouncers, for not clearing the green room of other smalltime models before she entered it. She yelled saying for what was she paying those guys for? She shouted to take them out of the green room. The young models were naturally upset at this behaviour from Bips. One of the models even broke down, as she was shocked. She said that she used to really look up to Bipasha as her idol, and she was really disappointed to see that side of her. She had been planning to take Bips's autograph, but after the little temper tantrum in the green room, she obviously dropped all such plans. And kept her distance.
All the models were cleared out of the green room, before Bips took it over.

My Name Is Khan of Karan Johar

Karan Johar is coming up with his one of the most awaited films My Name is Khan. Shahrukh Khan is in the lead role in this film. This movie is set to go on the floors in a few months from now. But even before the first scene is shot, there is some news about the movie.
There are some rumours that Shahrukh will get the negative rights of My Name Is Khan. Karan has offered Shah Rukh 50 percent ventures in the profits of the film, and in return, Shah Rukh will work on the film without charging a single penny.
Karan made this offer to Shah Rukh a few days ago. It is heard that Shahrukh Khan loved Karan’s idea. SRK is very excited about My Name Is Khan’s story.

In the film, Shah Rukh plays an activist who gets kidnapped by terrorists and how his attitude and entire perspective towards life changes subsequently. According to the source, My Name Is Khan will have nothing that the audience has come to expect from Karan’s films, as it is a serious film. Since Shah Rukh will not charge his fee, the budget of My Name Is Khan is unlikely to exceed Rs 15 crore. Going by the track record of Shah Rukh’s last blockbuster Om Shanti Om that was reportedly sold for close to Rs 80 crore, My Name Is Khan also is estimated to go for around that much money.

A Karan-Shah Rukh project in today’s times will definitely command and receive that amount. Thus, the film stands to gain a minimum of Rs 60 crore as table profit. Add to this the box-office collections. The earlier plan was that Shah Rukh will work on My Name is Khan as soon as he is free from the Indian Premeir League matches (he owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team) and Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain? Which he is currently hosting. But when Aditya Chopra requested Karan to allow Shah Rukh to start his film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi first; Karan immediately obliged.
The hunt for the female lead of My Name Is Khan is still on. The role was offered to Kajol who turned it down for reasons best known to her. The film is expected to be shot entirely in Los Angeles and New York.

Salman Khan with Sohail and Kareena!!!

It seems that Salman Khan is now ready to share the screen with his brother Sohail Khan again. Both were seen together in the super hit Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. Now they are back with Main Aur Mrs Khanna directed by debutant Prem Soni.
And guess ho will be romancing the Khans this time? The wonder girl Bebo will be the center of attraction again. When Sohail was recently asked how it felt to be working with Salman bhai after a long interval, replied that Salman bhai was his lucky charm.
He has been very good for Sohail. All the films Sohail did with him have been very successful. Every time Sohail directs or produces a film where he is there, it becomes a hit is his experience!!!
Apart from that, He also said that it’s always good to be on the sets with bhai. They get to spend some time together which is not possible otherwise as everyone is busy. He makes the sets very lively. Sohail cherishes every moment of shooting with him. Spoken like a true brother. Must say, bhai hai to aisa!
