In Mannat movie, as turmoil raged in Punjab, an army officer and a local village girl find love amidst the chaos of war. Their romance leads to marriage and soon the couple set about building a family. However the girl dies soon after giving birth to a baby girl. When another woman desperate to bear children kidnaps the young girl and the missing child’s grieving father is subsequently sentenced to life and prison, it appeared as if all hope was lost for the tragic family.
