Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye movie features Aman Verma who is on a research assignment. He rents a small apartment building in order to study the lives of the renters. He soon gets involved in the lives of the people living there. Very soon he even gets attracted to a plain-looking girl Saundarya, who he converts into a beauty, after a cosmetic makeover. All the chawl residents mistake aman’s kindness for his bigheartedness, and they horde him for his money, trying to get loans and gifts, to improve their lives. Then the lives of this small community are turned upside down, when the owner announces that he intends to tear the building down to construct a huge complex in its place.
